Amazon Names Uber Eats Prime’s Official U.S. Restaurant Delivery Partner

Amazon has returned to restaurant delivery through a partnership with Uber, naming Uber Eats the official restaurant delivery partner for Prime members in the United States.

Prime subscribers can place eligible restaurant orders directly through the Amazon app or website without signing up for an Uber account. Orders of $25 or more will carry no delivery fees, allowing Prime members to use their membership for takeout without adopting a separate delivery service.

The arrangement arrives as Uber navigates a reshaped restaurant-delivery market, with DoorDash and Instacart merging. For Amazon, the partnership adds restaurant delivery to the Prime ecosystem while reducing friction for members who do not already use Uber Eats.
