Anthropic Files for IPO Under “ANT” Ticker
Anthropic has filed an S-1 prospectus with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, moving ahead with plans for an initial public offering. The company behind Claude intends to list on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol ANT.
The filing follows a confidential submission with the SEC in June and provides a more detailed public account of the company’s business, objectives, and potential risks. Anthropic describes its broader ambition to “revolutionize every area of human endeavor” with AI, using language that presents the company’s vision rather than established outcomes.
The prospectus also includes substantial financial figures. For the first half of the year, Anthropic reported $16.3 billion in revenue and an $80.7 billion net loss, highlighting the scale of the company’s growth and the financial risks associated with its plans.
The public filing marks a significant step in Anthropic’s transition from a privately held AI company toward public-market ownership, with its valuation, future strategy, and path to sustainable profitability now subject to investor scrutiny.
