Anthropic launches Claude Duet as a research preview

Anthropic has announced Claude Duet, a new AI agent aimed at professionals and small business owners. The product enters research preview as a competitor to Meta's Muse and OpenAI's Dots.

Claude Duet is designed to work across a user's connected apps. It prepares a short morning brief highlighting important items, then continues monitoring those apps during the day. Rather than sending every update, it contacts the user only when something requires attention. Users can also assign tasks to the agent.

The system is built around Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 model. It is available as a standalone app on iOS and Android, as well as through Claude on the web.
