Apple Adds Context-Aware AI Assistant to Pages, Keynote, and Numbers

Apple is adding an AI assistant to its productivity suite, bringing context-aware assistance to Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. The assistant uses AI models from Apple and OpenAI and can draw on a document’s contents to carry out tasks within each app.

In Keynote, it can help design, animate, and refine presentations. In Pages, it can draft, restructure, and revise written content. In Numbers, it can perform calculations, visualize and organize data, recommend chart types, and create custom tables.

The three apps will also support the Model Context Protocol on macOS 27 or later. This allows compatible third-party AI agents to connect directly to the applications and work with their functionality.
