Pricing and Availability

The iPhone Duo will carry a starting price of $2,000 for the 256GB storage configuration. Apple plans to begin shipping the device as soon as October, with consumers able to choose between two color options: white and dark blue.

Market Position

The Duo name marks a departure from earlier speculation that had widely referred to the device as the "iPhone Ultra." The naming aligns with Google's past branding efforts, while Microsoft has also used the "Duo" name for its own foldable devices. Apple's entry into this category positions it against established competitors in the foldable smartphone market.
