Apple's M5 Ultra Brings 4x AI Performance Gains to Mac Studio Lineup
Apple has announced the M5 Ultra, its latest flagship system-on-chip and the successor to the M3 Ultra. The company reports that the new chip delivers four times the AI performance compared to the M3 Ultra, positioning it as a significant step forward for on-device machine learning workloads.
The Mac Studio configured with the M5 Ultra will support up to 512GB of unified memory, enabling large model inference and memory-intensive creative workflows. Connectivity options are equally expansive, with support for driving up to eight external displays from a single machine.
