Biolife has received a U.S. patent for a novel effervescent oral peptide delivery technology. The approach centers on an effervescent formulation designed to facilitate the oral delivery of peptide-based therapeutics—a notable development given that peptides are typically administered via injection due to their vulnerability to degradation in the digestive system.
Oral peptide delivery has been a longstanding challenge in biopharmaceutical development.
