Canada Releases Updated National AI Strategy: 'AI for All'

Canada has released an updated version of its National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, now framed under the banner "AI for All." The initiative is being led by the country's Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) department.

The strategy aims to position Canada as a leader in responsible AI development while ensuring the economic and societal benefits of artificial intelligence are distributed across the Canadian population. Canada was among the first nations to launch a national AI strategy, with initial funding committed in the 2017 federal budget.

The "AI for All" framing suggests a continued emphasis on inclusive AI development that considers ethical implications, workforce impacts, and broad access to AI technologies across different sectors and communities.
