Ferrari's First EV Luce Comes with Jony Ive and Mark Newson Design Collaboration
Ferrari has officially revealed the Luce, its first electric vehicle, marking a significant milestone for the iconic Italian automaker.
The Luce is notable not just for being Ferrari's inaugural EV, but for its design collaboration with Jony Ive and Mark Newson at their studio LoveFrom. According to Ferrari, LoveFrom was granted the unusual privilege of defining the design direction of the entire project from the outset—both interior and exterior.
Priced starting at €550,000 in Italy, the Luce will also become Ferrari's second four-door vehicle and the brand's first to offer five seats, expanding the practical appeal of the traditionally two-seat sports car marque.
Interior details had been previewed earlier this year, but this reveal marks the first full view of the completed vehicle. The involvement of two of the most influential designers in contemporary consumer electronics—Ive famously led Apple's design team—signals Ferrari's intent to blend its racing heritage with a distinctly modern design language.
US pricing has not yet been announced.
