Meta Unveils Muse Charm: A Standalone AI Wearable
Meta is developing a standalone hardware device for its AI agent, named Muse Charm. The product was briefly showcased by CEO Mark Zuckerberg during the Meta Connect presentation.
The Muse Charm features a compact design resembling a chunky smartwatch without the strap. The device includes a fingerprint sensor positioned in the top right corner, which serves as the activation mechanism for speaking to the AI agent. Additional hardware includes a small camera and at least three microphone holes on the front.
Users can carry the device using an integrated lanyard. Zuckerberg emphasized that the device offers a phone-free experience, eliminating the need to unlock a mobile device to interact with the AI assistant.
The announcement positions Meta among companies investing in dedicated AI hardware beyond smartphone integrations, though full specifications and pricing details remain to be announced.
