Microsoft Confirms Copilot 'Super App' Launching This Year
Microsoft is pushing forward with its vision for a unified AI experience. During the company's recent earnings call, CEO Satya Nadella confirmed that Microsoft is working on a "super app" that will bring together Copilot's various capabilities—including conversational AI, coding assistance, and agentic functions—under one roof.
"Copilot is evolving rapidly from chat to Cowork to Autopilots," Nadella said. "This quarter, we are bringing these Copilot experiences together, including code, in one super app."
The app is expected to serve both consumer and commercial users, marking a significant consolidation of Microsoft's AI tools. Nadella described it as "a major step forward," suggesting the company sees the unified experience as a strategic priority. More details are expected to be shared soon.
This confirmation follows earlier reports that Microsoft was developing such an app, aiming to create a centralized hub for its AI offerings similar to how apps like WeChat combine multiple services in a single platform.
