NASA and Relativity Space Partner to Advance Mars Science

NASA has announced a new public-private partnership aimed at advancing Mars science by combining the agency's scientific leadership with commercial space capabilities.

Under the partnership, NASA will provide the Aeolus atmospheric-science instrument payload suite. Relativity Space will supply the spacecraft, rocket, and cruise operations needed to deliver the instruments to Mars.

The arrangement reflects NASA's broader effort to use commercial partners to support planetary science missions.
