NASA's Roman Space Telescope Set to Dramatically Expand Exoplanet Census
NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is poised to make a major leap in the hunt for worlds outside our solar system. Scientists expect the mission to reveal approximately 100,000 exoplanets, a dramatic increase compared to the nearly 6,300 worlds discovered so far through existing NASA missions and ground-based observations.
The Roman Space Telescope will join other NASA missions in surveying the galaxy for distant worlds, significantly expanding our understanding of planetary systems beyond our own. This upcoming mission represents a substantial advancement in exoplanet discovery capabilities.
