Oratomic Raises $300M to Build More Efficient Quantum Computer
Quantum computing startup Oratomic has raised $300 million to build a viable quantum computer requiring only 20,000 qubits. The funding round was co-led by ARCH Venture Partners, Spark Capital, and Khosla Ventures.
The approach focuses on achieving quantum viability with a smaller qubit count compared to many existing quantum systems, which typically require far more qubits to maintain stability and error correction.
This investment reflects continued venture interest in making quantum computing practical, though building fault-tolerant quantum computers at scale remains an active area of research and development.
