Senators Press Meta Over Privacy Concerns With Smart Glasses
Senators Ron Wyden and Edward Markey have written to Meta over what they describe as disturbing privacy violations involving the company’s smart glasses. In the letter, they said the devices have increasingly been implicated in invasions of privacy for both people wearing them and bystanders nearby.
The senators’ request follows a 404 Media investigation. The letter calls on Meta to respond to the concerns raised by the investigation and the reported privacy implications of the glasses.
