Pentagon Taps Musk and Luckey for Future Warfare Study

The U.S. Department of Defense has launched a 120-day study focused on the future of warfare. This initiative is reportedly being led by Elon Musk, known for his work with SpaceX and Tesla, and Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus VR and Anduril Industries. Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, is also involved in the study.

The study's objective is to inform the Pentagon's strategic decisions regarding future military operations and technological development. However, the involvement of Musk and Luckey, whose companies are already involved in defense technology, has drawn attention. Critics may note that their respective companies, such as SpaceX (which provides satellite services to the military) and Anduril (which develops AI-powered defense systems), are already suppliers of technologies that could be central to the study's recommendations.
