Autonomous Pipeline Patches 948 Linux Kernel Vulnerabilities
OpenAI has developed an autonomous pipeline for identifying and fixing vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel. According to the company, the system found, validated, and generated patches for 948 local privilege-escalation vulnerabilities.
The project covers the full vulnerability-remediation process, from discovery through validation and patch generation. Its results indicate that autonomous tooling can be applied systematically to a widely used open-source operating-system kernel, where local privilege-escalation flaws could allow attackers to gain elevated access.
