Proposed Technique Reads Quantum Information with High Accuracy
A proposed technique could make quantum computing more practical by reading information from delicate qubit states without destroying them. Instead of relying on a measurement process that may alter the state being examined, the method detects an electrical signal produced by the qubit itself.
In simulations, the approach achieved accuracy of up to 99.85%. The researchers say this result suggests that future quantum computers could use simpler and more efficient ways to access quantum information, while preserving the states that underpin their operation.
