Alphabet Reports Strong Revenue Growth as AI Investments Boost Search Queries
Alphabet reported consolidated revenue of $127.6 billion for the third quarter of 2026, up 25 percent from a year earlier. Google Search & other revenue increased 12 percent, while Google Cloud revenue rose 103 percent to $30.7 billion.
CEO Sundar Pichai said the company’s AI investments are helping drive overall Search query growth, including commercial queries. He added that Alphabet’s year-over-year query growth rate is the highest it has been in the past five years.
The results indicate that Alphabet is attributing part of the recent expansion in Search activity to its AI initiatives, while Google Cloud has also become a major source of year-over-year revenue growth. The company did not provide specific details in the excerpt about which AI products or features contributed to the increase in queries.
