SpaceX previews its first attempt to catch a Starship upper stage
SpaceX has unveiled a demonstration of its plan to catch a Starship's upper stage in flight. The maneuver is intended to recover the reusable portion of the rocket rather than allow it to fall back into the atmosphere.
The company indicated that the first attempt could occur as soon as next month. SpaceX has not yet provided further details in the reported demonstration about the timing, location, or hardware involved.
