NASA and Partners Advance Lander Plans for 2028 Moon Missions

NASA is working with Blue Origin and SpaceX to revise the designs and operating concepts for their commercial human landing systems ahead of planned 2028 Moon missions. The agency said the updates reflect a shift in how the future crewed landers will operate as NASA prepares to return humans to the lunar surface and build a long-term presence there. The two companies are among the commercial providers selected by NASA for initial crewed-lander contracts.
