Tesla plans a broader Cybercab rollout while keeping ridership data quiet

Tesla is preparing to expand its Cybercab robotaxi service beyond its initial U.S. market, with plans to introduce the gold two-seat vehicles in other cities this year. The rollout would extend a highly restricted ride-hailing format designed around autonomous operation.

Alongside the expansion, Tesla is not publishing the number of paid rides completed. That omission leaves key questions about the service’s adoption and commercial performance unanswered, even as the company moves toward a broader launch. It also means the expansion will need to be assessed through other indicators, such as where the service operates and how its operations change over time.
